On August 4 and 5, INGEBI participated in the Biology and Biotechnology Week at FCEyN, UBA, featuring its booth: “Hacking Genes: Applications of Genetic Engineering” in the central courtyard of Pavilion 2.

In this edition, 32 members of the institute (interns, undergraduate thesis students, doctoral fellows, and researchers) participated as exhibitors. This strong turnout allowed the institute to be present for two full days, showcasing four main thematic areas researched at the facility: Chagas, Plants, Neurobiology, and Hearing.

The interactive station featured a wide range of activities: games, simple experiments, and demonstrations related to the aforementioned fields. The most widely used tools in genetic engineering were explained in an accessible, educational way, providing space to debate their applications.

The initiative sparked enthusiasm among visitors of all ages, especially students in their final years of high school. Additionally, several teachers noted that they were inspired by the educational resources used.
