The Molecular Parasitology Meeting took place from September 14th to 18th in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Participants included the Signaling and Adaptive Mechanisms in Trypanosomatids and the Chromatin Structure and Function groups. From the first group, Salomé Vilchez Larrea presented a poster entitled “A single-cell methodology for energy metabolism analysis of Trypanosoma cruzi developmental stages and T. cruzi infected cells”. From the chromatin group, Rosario López presented her poster entitled “Cell cycle-regulated occurrence of H3Ser10p and its potential relationship with mitosis regulation in Trypanosoma cruzi”.
For both groups, it was an enriching experience, as they established relationships with colleagues from other countries and learned new techniques. Showcasing our work in another setting also generated new ideas in the discussions and feedback.
